All About

Diligent Inspection Services

Cody Herndon is a second-generation home inspector with a lifelong passion for real estate. Growing up, he watched his grandfather invest in Atlanta properties and learned alongside his father through home inspections and renovations across North Georgia. At just 18, Cody earned his real estate license while attending Georgia State University in Atlanta.

After several years of renovating homes, Cody discovered his true calling: helping Georgia homebuyers understand the homes they were purchasing. He completed formal inspection training through AmeriSpec Home Inspections and went on to earn his ASHI Certified Inspector designation through the American Society of Home Inspectors.

As his reputation for thorough inspections and straightforward guidance grew, Cody saw an opportunity to make the entire process more personal and consistent. In 2017, he founded Diligent Inspection Services, LLC, taking a hands-on approach to every step—from scheduling to report delivery.

In 2019, following the birth of their first child, Alyson Herndon officially joined the business as office and marketing manager. Together, Cody and Alyson have built a family-owned company centered on clear communication, dependable service, and helping clients feel informed and supported.

Nearly a decade later, Diligent Inspection Services is known for detailed inspections, easy-to-understand reports, and attentive customer care. Whether clients are buying, selling, or maintaining a home, our goal is simple: provide the information they need to protect their investment and make confident decisions.

Cody is an ASHI Certified Inspector and an FAA-certified commercial drone pilot. Diligent Inspection Services, LLC is fully insured and proudly registered as a business in Cobb County, Georgia.
